Truckee River – mid May

Fishing has been all over the map lately.  Water levels are rising and falling daily and that always keeps us guessing.  There are some caddis hatching sporadically in the evenings, a few March Browns during the day and some other random bugs.  I have had a few decent days on the lower river below Reno with crayfish patterns and streamers.  The off color water seems to make the fish much less wary and more willing to eat a big fly.  I have attached a couple of pics to keep you going.  The fishing should just keep getting better!    Dave
